The Slider Bar for Racken Rest 3 is a bolt on sliding system. It fits on any flat surface or bar but also fits on the Racken Rest 3. (For use on the front of a buggy see the longer model for the SmartRest Cross Bar).
The slider system gives the shooter a wider aiming range. Whilst it is a very good option please note there are and always will be limitations when it comes to shooting from a seated position in a car. See notes below for helpful tips.
All fasteners needed to bolt on to the Racken Rest 3 is supplied.
The Cradle model requires the user to already own a Racken Rest 3 in order to fit it up. However if you intend to use this slider for other purposes you will have to do some DIY work to mount it. Note: we do not supply bolts you may need for other applications.
The unit comes with the medial tube already bolted on. The user will need to remove the extension bars and V Mounts from their existing Racken Rest 3 and install them on the medial tube.
Notes and tips for shooting from a seated position in a car:
1 - It is easier for right handed shooter to shoot form the left side of a vehicle. It is easier for a left hand shooter to shoot from the right side of the vehicle.
2 - The cradle system is best for hunting rifles. If you require a system for a magazing and pistol grip type firearm please take a look at the Flexi Joint version.
Max weight for the cradle system is 7kg.
